Hornbill Festival 2009 Package |

Day 1 (30th Nov):
Arrival at Dimapur. Pick up and drive to Kohima (73kms approx 2hrs
drive). Stay overnight at a family guest house with all modern amenities.
Day 2 (1st Dec): Kohima - Hornbill
festival (Kisama 12kms from Kohima). The inaugural day of the festival is a
must watched event. All the tribes in their best of fineries perform their
traditional folk dances and songs. One can spend the whole day here. There are
various cafes and restaurant offering variety of food from continental to
indigenous cuisines.
Day 3 (2nd Dec): Kohima to Touphema
41kms (approx 1hr 30mins) from Kohima. This is a village resort where one can
get a glimpse of village life in Nagaland. You will be staying at traditional
huts with all modern amenities. Dinner will be served in the traditional
kitchen/dining room and you will be entertained by the local troupes with folk
songs.
Day 4 (3rd Dec): Touphema to Kohima.
Early morning you can take a walk through the village and visit the village museum.
After lunch return to Kohima and spend the rest of the day at the festival. You can also enjoy the music at Hornbill National Rock Festival. The
II World War museum is also of great interest and is located here.
Day 5 (4th Dec): Depart for Dimapur
to catch your flight/train out.
